N4UAG HOME BREW 12 VOLT ROTOR SYSTEM TO SPIN THE 5 ELE 2M BEAM.

MY NAME IS DOUG AND THIS IS MY QRP INSULATOR THAT WILL ADD 2 DB TO YOUR SIGNAL ON BOTH RECEIVE AND TRANSMIT BUT YOU HAVE TO THINK POSITIVE FOR IT TO WORK CORRECTLY.

MY NEXT PROJECT - ACTIVE OFFSET ATENUATOR

This thing works amazing well, I'm very impressed with how much rejection it provides. I was using it with a UHF 5 element beam. I could reject all of the foxes signal even within a few inches of it. I spent WAY to many hours working out the housing and grip/mount experimenting with different layouts and materials. One version had it just all strapping to the antenna boom. Worked, but really ugly... . All that is left is installing the grip material to the handle.

Below are some pics of my latest version of the power monitors for portable/field use to protect the batteries. These units are programmable for the cut-off voltage, as well as the restoral voltage. They also have a timer for a buffer so they don't cycle off/on/off/on as the load is dropped. Pretty cool little gizmos I found online. Printed the cases in the laboratory (said with my best English accent).  Doug  N4UAG   11-28-23

It took a minute, but below are the measurements I used for the two zepp antennas.

The 6 meter is great, haven't tuned the 10 meter yet, but it should be ok too. It's a proven build.
